Role Purpose
- Accepting deliveries at our HK office, and installing equipment at key data centres throughout Hong Kong by connecting fibres and rack mounting equipment
- Appreciation for network cabling and documentation
- Keen interest in learning about Information Technology and technology for network services (Layer 2 and Layer 3)
- Pride in workmanship and meticulous in detail
- Be responsible for cable management, and upholding design principles in all network PoPs
- Configuration and management of equipment
- Represent the company and build relationships with key industry personnel, including data centre operations staff
- Assist Superloop Infrastructure team operations on day-to-day activities
- Participate in an on-call roster to resolve emergent equipment/link failures
Requirements
- 2-5 years experience in installing network equipment in datacenters
- Excellent understanding of telecommunications network infrastructure configuration and management
- Keen interest in the Networking Industry and Telecommunications eg HKNOG
- Experience in installing network equipment in data centres
- Experience working autonomously, and be able to adhere to a schedule of data centre visits
- Physically able to undertake installation of equipment (eg. carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds for short distances, use hands to manipulate small wires and objects, and occasionally work in tight and/or narrow spaces
- Energetic and driven
- Able to work effectively in a team
- Able to communicate fluently in English and Chinese a MUST
Note:
This role does not require Shifting Schedule. Normal Working Hours/5-day work week
