Desktop Engineer

Job Summary

  • Provide technical support/solutions for end user computing technology and equipment
  • Front-line problem support, prioritization and fixing, collaborating with technology teams and local vendors


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality administration support on Microsoft Windows environment
  • Perform level 2-3 hands-on desktop support, troubleshooting and configuration
  • Define and maintain the Windows desktop standard build, documentation and procedures
  • Responsible for computer deployment and ensure the Windows patching level up to date
  • Provide IT support during BCP, conduct desktop products evaluations
  • Co-ordinate with external vendors on hardware/software inquiries and maintenance
  • Ticketing system to record and update all user requests and reported problems in a timely manner
  • Establishing baseline images on operating systems not limited to Windows 7 and Windows 10
  • Manage the lifecycle of endpoints through activities not limited to patching, hardening, testing and validating with existing/new technologies deploy to an endpoint
  • Provide Level 2 support
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required
