Desktop Engineer
Job Summary
- Provide technical support/solutions for end user computing technology and equipment
- Front-line problem support, prioritization and fixing, collaborating with technology teams and local vendors
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide high quality administration support on Microsoft Windows environment
- Perform level 2-3 hands-on desktop support, troubleshooting and configuration
- Define and maintain the Windows desktop standard build, documentation and procedures
- Responsible for computer deployment and ensure the Windows patching level up to date
- Provide IT support during BCP, conduct desktop products evaluations
- Co-ordinate with external vendors on hardware/software inquiries and maintenance
- Ticketing system to record and update all user requests and reported problems in a timely manner
- Establishing baseline images on operating systems not limited to Windows 7 and Windows 10
- Manage the lifecycle of endpoints through activities not limited to patching, hardening, testing and validating with existing/new technologies deploy to an endpoint
- Provide Level 2 support
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required
