  • Be responsible for the development of logical and physical data models, the implementation of data marts and data lakes on target platforms, data mapping, data interface governance, performance tuning, etc.
  • Identify and describe relationship between data fields and how they are maintained in enterprise databases
  • Work with Data Office to define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for data models (e.g. maintenance processes for data modeling artifacts, etc.)
  • Perform hands-on modeling, design, configuration, installation, and performance tuning
  • Lead the database analysis and design to identify data structures and enterprise data warehouse
  • Identify opportunities to reuse data and reduce redundancy in data across the enterprise

Qualification

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in a related field (e.g. computer science, information technology, etc.)
  • At least 5 years experience in data modeling and database design
  • Experience in data modeling principles, methods (incl. conceptual, logical & physical data models), and techniques (e.g. Data Vault, Kimball, etc.)
  • Experience in data warehouse, data lake and enterprise big data platforms in complex data structures
  • Experience in metadata management and master data management is a plus
  • Experience in the energy sector or other asset-intensive industries will be highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of metadata management, data modeling, and related tools required
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and attention to details
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise, solve problems creatively, and work under tight deadlines
  • Great people skills to work with all level of stakeholders, including good verbal and written communication
