Responsibilities:
- Provide rapid incident response and resolution
- Problem shooting and root cause investigation
- Assist in patch management programme and other infrastructure changes
- Assist in understanding and managing infrastructure changes
- Improve infrastructure checks in conjunction with application checks
- Design the infrastructure and develop the architectures including Linux, Unix, Wintel, etc.
- Manage and support the production infrastructure service
- Automate infrastructure checks and investigation tools
- Identify infrastructure risks
Requirements:
- UNIX systems including Linux & Solaris v 10 (mandatory)
- Hardware experience
- Network experience
- Disk management & volume managements (SVM/LVM) experience
- Storage experience in EMC or 3PAR
- Cluster experience
- Veritas cluster and volume manager - highly preferred
- RH cluster & volume manager - desirable
- HACMP cluster & volume manager - desirable
- Patching of Solaris / UNIX servers (mandatory)
- LDAP directory services / authentication & authorization services (single sign on) (mandatory)
- Virtualization technologies including VMware, Linux KVM, Solaris containers, etc. (mandatory)
- DR Knowledge (desirable)
- Microsoft Docker (desirable)
- Scripting and programming experience in Shell, Perl, Java (desirable)
- Storage including storage uplifts, migrations, etc (desirable)
- Red Hat and relevant certification (desirable)
Non-technical skills
- Extensive troubleshooting experience in a Production environment
- Ability to work under pressure and leadership skills
- Expertise in client communication
- Banking experience is preferred
- Good knowledge in mapping client requirement into design and implementation
- Good domain knowledge about process and procedure
- ITIL certification / knowledge desirable
