- Provide comprehensive legal counsel supporting regulated activities across SFC Type 1, 4, 6, and 9 business lines
- Draft, review, and negotiate an extensive range of fund offering materials and commercial agreements (including Participating Dealer, Distribution, Investment Management/Advisory, and Securities Lending agreements)
- Advise various business units on the legal structuring, compliance risks, and commercial feasibility of new product launches, cross-border initiatives, and discretionary investment mandates.
- Conduct legal research on local and cross-jurisdictional laws to identify potential impacts on corporate proposals and fund operations
- Qualified Lawyer with 5+ years PQE. Background in handling public funds in Hong Kong (both ETFs and unlisted). Asset Management qualified lawyer/counsel will also be considered
- Proven track record advising institutional asset managers on fund establishment, ETF listings, mergers, terminations, and cross-border marketing
- Deep, practical knowledge of the Hong Kong Securities & Futures Ordinance (SFO), SFC Code on Unit Trusts and Mutual Funds, Fund Manager Code of Conduct, and the Companies Ordinance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
