Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the design, development and maintenance of software applications and systems. The role will be responsible for software architecture, technical leadership, system enhancement and project delivery across various software development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and maintain software applications and systems.
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Collaborate with product, business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and technical specifications.
- Conduct code reviews and promote software development best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and system issues.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, system designs and development standards.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to development teams.
- Participate in project planning, technical estimation and delivery activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in software development.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Python, C++ or related technologies.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, system design and development best practices.
- Experience with code reviews, testing methodologies and CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum or other software development methodologies.
- Experience providing technical leadership, leading software projects or mentoring development team members will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Proficiency in spoken Mandarin and written Chinese will be an advantage.
