We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic Risk Management team on a 1-year contract. This role is critical in supporting our regulatory reporting and data-driven decision-making processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of key reports, and contributing to the enhancement of our analytical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
· Data Analysis & Reporting: Compile, validate, and deliver statutory and management information system (MIS) reports accurately and within deadlines.
· Process Improvement: Identify, measure, and review existing data compilation processes and methodologies. Propose and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control.
· Project Support: Conduct ad-hoc analysis and participate in projects related to regulatory changes, MIS development, and other strategic initiatives within the Risk Management group.
· End-to-End Analytics: Work collaboratively on the end-to-end flow of analytics use cases—from data extraction and transformation to analysis and visualization—to deliver tangible business value.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work effectively as a team player, communicating findings and challenges clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
· A bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
· At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence role.
· Proven, practical experience with key data tools:
· SQL (for data querying and manipulation)
· Python (for data analysis and automation)
· Tableau or similar (for data visualization and dashboard creation)
· ETL concepts and tools
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a true team player.
· Fluency in Cantonese and English is required.
