Key Purpose of the Role:
 
To provide in-life 2nd/3rd line support to the outsourced voice network and implement pre-approved technical changes resulting from sponsored projects.
Principal Responsibilities:
 
  • Operational support
    • Handling 2nd/3rd level faults and enquiries on the Cisco Voice estate
    • Participate after hours 2nd/3rd line on-call support roster
    • Working with 1st level closely to support them on the daily operation and BAU task
    • Support Exec/VIP users face to face in Hong Kong
    • Representing as Voice Team within IT department
    • Carry out IPT changes that are classified as operational changes
    • Perform routine day-to-day voice activities.
    • Coach and mentor other team members in Voice and IP telephony skills/practice.
  • Project implementation
    • Where workload is manageable, the personnel will involve in voice project implementation
    • Participate and contribute to design and implementation of new voice infrastructure
    • Documentation of procedures and technical information
Person Specification:

Essential Skills & Experience (key competencies)
 
Experience
 
  • Must have extensive Call Manager Configuration and Support Experience
  • Must have extensive experience of supporting a large scale, international Cisco IPT environment.
  • 5+ Years' experience in a 2nd/3rd line support environment.
  • Trader voice support experience an advantage but not essential
  • Experience in a financial/i-bank environment an advantage but not essential.
Skills
 
  • CCNP Voice certification minimum
  • Strong IP Telephony troubleshooting skills and experience
  • Takes all appropriate action to achieve targets, outcome and results focused
  • Strongly motivated to succeed, able to work independently and across the matrix.
  • Able to work with all parts of teams and external partners to deliver a solution to clients
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Able to interact at all levels internally and if necessary externally

  • Excellent written communication skills- reports, client documents.
