Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the transformation of Data centre; proficiency in areas such as electrical systems, HVAC, Fire System, cabling, and physical security is essential to ensure project delivery
- Lead project team with both internal and external stakeholders. Drive design, participate and monitor development and project implementation activities, conduct quality assurance and prepare project documentation
- Conduct post-implementation review with stakeholders (e.g. users, IT business partners, IT solution architects) to validate that projected benefits are being realised and business requirements being fulfilled
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. users, developers, architects) to ensure adequate understanding of business requirements, and follow up during and after the implementation to ensure the transformation are able to meet the business requirements
Requirements:
- A recognised university degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines. Master's degree in a related field is desirable.
- Strong Construction and Engineering Background, a solid background in data center construction and engineering, with a specific focus on transforming data centers.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction principles, building codes, and industry standards related to data center infrastructure. Proficiency in areas such as electrical systems, HVAC, Fire System, cabling, and physical security is essential.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing data center transformation projects, showcasing their ability to oversee and coordinate construction activities.
- Project management skills with a specific emphasis on the construction aspects of data center resizing.
- Experience in collaborating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of construction tasks while adhering to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality requirements is highly desirable.
- At least 10-15 years of utilities industry or IT and business work experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business segments Experience as programmer, business analyst or project manager is preferred
- Relevant Project management experience on Data centre migration, Data centre setup and network connectivity implementation
- Professional project management certifications such as PMP and PRINCE2 are highly preferred
- Proven ability to be effective in a customer facing role, driving customer centric ways of working
- Good at Strategic planning, Problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, as well as influencing and leadership skills
- Proficiency in English and Cantonese are required
- Good at project management, change management and relationship management
- Strong ability to remain calm and deliberate in times of highest stress e.g. application outage
- Demonstrable commitment to continuous learning
- Proactive, performance driven and results oriented
